Pirates Of Archery THE MORE POSITIVE ARCHERY BOARD WHERE WARM BEER IS AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR BREAST MILK, EVERY DAY IS YOHON'S BIRTHDAY, AND HOWATTMAN SETS THE STANDARD FOR DEVIANT BEHAVIOR.
People are talking all right and some of them are getting down right grumpy. You'd think the "need for speed" and the ancient and honorable sport of breaking balls was a newsflash to some of them.
"Now I'm generally a mild mannered, live and let live kind of guy, but any fucking snake that gets between me and my coffee pot is just buckin' to be a hat band." The Topcamp Chronicles.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
i wouldn't mind seeing O.L. make an appearace at the event myself. i'll bet we could win that old sour puss over with hospitality.
Could you imagine having that old boy get caught up in the fun, and actually join us in the spirit of sharing knowlege? i think he'd probably have a ball, and might use different wording in the future in reference to this group of POA bowyers....
This whole thing isn't about just seeing who can build the fastest bow IMO... Oh That part will be fun too.....But the agenda is sharing knowledge and comradery...
Nope, I'd say you nailed it right on the nuts Kirk, But I dont think our establishment would quite meet the requirements of such an accomplished buisnessman.
People used to say that I'd never amount to much but I can always say Ive served as a bad example!
i think your 100% right on the spirit of the event kirk--i just don't think "that old sour puss "gets it!!its called "Walk The Talk" for a reason--and until he sends a bow --he has not--and he also said that wasn't "one of his bows"--so -let me get this straight- -if it had come out on top-he would have been beating his chest---but since it was somewhat down on the list --its "not one of his??"and the results were tainted/unscientific --the agendas everyone has!!!!!its so unfair!!!!BOO-HOO!!! IMO he's hasn't stopped crying since the last event --and i wouldn't be suprised if it louder as the time gets closer-- --its too bad--but i guess the old saying is true!!YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYONE its too bad --cause if the guy would stop the nonsense and listen he might just learn a thing or two--if not about bowyering or archery then maybe---SPORTSMANSHIP!!! mike
TJ, Just remember...you ain't no ordinary 17 year old kid when it comes to bowbuilding...you already got more talent and experience than a lot of bowbuilders many times your age...
The reason I support the 2nd Amendment is because I'm too young to die but too old for an ass whoopin' !

Aint that the truth?! ...and a good testimony to the learning possible on this site and at the WTT event. Several posters at TG identified correctly that WTT is an annual gathering of home builders for friendly competition and learning. I, too, hope OL will submit a bow and appear at the event. Ken made an open invitation for entries, both here, at Leatherwall, and at TradGang...so anyone with doubts or criticism can submit their bow. It's great to read the "talk" both here and at TradGang. Walk-the-Talk is well named...anyone can "talk the talk" but it can your bow "walk the talk"? Jim
I Knew you were sand bagging. ... uless you're thinking that 167 is going to do the trick. i got mine up to 169 the other day with a 2 strand string and back nocks. you might be in trouble....
Am i going to get in trouble selling bows coming out of this warped form of mine? i'm getting this funny looking cup shape in my limbs.... it makes them limbs look like they are going real fast standing still..... does that count if your bow looks real fast, but you'd rather not have it tested?
