Only archers are fool enough to want to make a composite with natural materials and man made materials, and then bend it repeatedly...

That one must have had some bend near the handle.
Better luck next time

that sucks buddy!!! hope you still have all your body parts in tact.
Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

yup.... the first limb that blew was pretty benign....now the second limb i had to put it in a vise and work pretty hard to get that one to blow. :o i got my info, but i sure wish i'd have worn a leather gloves... my hand was numb for a good ten minutes....longer fades and a power wedge fixed up the design error....got a shooter out of the next one....number 3 out of the form hopefully will see Wisconsin.... 8-)

Are you going to try for a laminated riser again for #3?

Ya i think i will..... the footed risers you see a lot of them out there... i want something different and I like the extra strength the laminated riser has...
I just like the looks of them better too.... :D more work by far.... but that's alright with me...

Just for the record bro.... They aren't technically a bow till they shoot an arrow. ...so that makes yours "Sasquatch" 001.... the next one out of the form may not become a bow either....i'm going into the redline zone on this one... 8-)

I can't wait to see it Kirk. Once you get the bugs worked out of that laminated riser it should be ready to take whatever turbo charged limbs you cook up. I wonder if you could turn that design into a take down?

i already did get the riser bugs worked out bro.... i cooked this one here at to high of temp and used white glue on the laying up.... there was a design flaw too, and had to extend the fades out some.... i've got some zebra i'm bending for the next one.... i'm hoping for less excitement on this one. :D
