Hot Box

Postby Steve Graf » Fri May 22, 2015 3:36 pm

I've been thinking about upgrading my hot box and getting rid of the light bulbs. I was thinking about installing a baseboard heater.

Lowes has a 6 ft, 120 VAC, 1500 watt baseboard heater. I expect I'd have to tear into it and disable the overtemp switch so it can get to 180 deg.

Any suggestions?

I just modified a small space heater to build a small box for risers. Make sure you use a large enough gauge wire if you bypass anything or it will glow like an element. Don't ask me how I know this. It should work in theory, I'm not officially recommending it.
