ILF limbs-Sapele and Koa

These were my first ILF glue ups on my form back in Feb this year.. Sapele back, Koa belly veneer, red elm taper..They came out at 28#s before rounding off limb edgesI didnt complete them since I was needing 35-50 # limbs..well I got a PM from a guy looking for some thing in this range, they finished out at 27# on my scale. I shot them today on my 15" Black Onyx riser..they shot very nicely and surprised me with their cast. Im sending them out Monday for a 3000? mile one way trip...My first time using Koa, it looks really neat under the clear glass..the glass is flawless and was some I had stashed and forgot about.. Great looking limbs!

A couple of the prettiest custom bows I have owned had curly Koa limb veneers. For a while in the mid '90's Bighorn Bows had some outstanding Koa.
You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably angry.
