Hello to all this season. Finally got to seal the deal on a nice butterball delight!! Been a slow yr this yr being my friends and I had our stands stolen, but did manage to get a out a few times. This deer was taken on a afternoon outing.Got into my groundblind about 3:45 pm and of coarse had a million and a half squirells running around.Afternoon was cool and leaves very dry and noisy! Had at 4:15 5 does walk by and slowly feed on acorns. As we all know,in a groundblind and 5 sets of eyes, it isnt easy to move. What seemed like forever they feed and of coarse keeping an eye all around. For some reason only 4 decided to move on and that is when I thought I would get my chance!! As If someone told her she picked up her head and looked right at me.Mind you im buryed in a blow down with just about enough room to shoot!!She stomps and starts to snort at me.I said damn im busted so I better make it happen. She steps quartering away, then turns to lookaway from me and that when I stand and draw. She quick turns to look at me but the arrow is on its way and hits its mark,my favorite, quartering away. She runs 30 yds and drops.Man what a bloodtrail,ground/trees,all over!!Sorry about pics, camera batterys were dead so I used my cellphone .My bow was a Bob Lee TD LB,GT 3555 tipped w/a Magnus 125 grn.
