there are 2 dates on your marker.Your life is the dash in between.

Dont know how FG tape is made but it will never be clear under epoxy. You need an E or S glass cloth and a "Laminating epoxy". Smooth on is very viscous and tricky to wet out even though it can be done.

The laminated bamboo can be very heavy because of all the extra glue lines and easily subject to picking up moisture. A high grade natural bamboo that is properly tempered is a different animal both in terms of weight and performance. Ive built several all Bamboo risers Btw!
