A Bit Bored (done pics)

With the deep freeze temps and 9 in. of snow. But I do have a TD curve under way so I thought I would post a few pics of it.
I has a birdseye maple riser with red and black glass accents. The limbs are veneered with a striped maple stained light brown. The riser is only partly shaped right now. If I can get the shop warmed up a bit I will do more today. The old bones do like cold much any more. :x

Got it looking more like a riser. Put it on the scale also. shooting for 45. It came out 48. So with limb rounding and looks like a bit of limb tiller it should be really close. I am wanting to try and stain the riser also just make the eyes pop a bit. I just never have had good luck with that. I guess I will play with a piece of scrap first.

The stain I got from Woodcrafters. A concentrate that mixes with denatured alcohol or water. Cant think of the brand but will get it for you.

Thanks. Is it that Transtint dye you have talked about before? I think I'll have to try some of that..
