Thru- Riser Insert for ILF riser Build

Postby nevadabugle » Wed Dec 04, 2013 10:19 am

Hi all,

I am in the process of building an ILF riser. I am looking for a source for either extra long 1/2 X 13 threaded inserts, or better yet the through riser type inserts that have the button head on the belly of the riser. I have a Wes Wallace recurve that uses this through riser type and it always seems more secure to me. Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen Fox bows that use thru the riser inserts. Call Ron up he might be able to help you.

I just sent Ron an Email. I'll let everyone know what he says.

I never got a response from Ron. Oh well. I did find a source for 1 inch long brass insects. Look up custom pool cue builder supplies. They use a 1" brass insert that should work for bow building applications as long as brass does not scare you away.
