Picture cutting off happens a lot for me too...you guys that can take a solid piece of wood and turn it into a bow amaze me! Just a beautiful thing man.

Well, I frequently hear that from some pretty damn good glass bowyers. Heard some say that they don't think they are craftsman enough to make a good self bow. Funny thing is, I feel the same way about glass bows....it seems like an intimidating set of skills to make a good glass bow to me. Go figure.

I just finished a 60" hickory flat bow it's 53#'s @28" shoots an arrow real good,,,,but I did an awfull dye job :oops: I can't give up on those woodys keep em coming JeffW

I think I'm good. I have it at 61# @ 29 1/2" It stands just unbraced with 1/2" string follow. The bow has such low mass that it is very quick, and the little bit of follow makes it real likeable in the hand.

I have a couple hundred arrows through it so far, no additional set to it. No hand shock, just a sweet little bow. I'll get a nice finish and beavertail grip on it, and get some close up detail shots soon.
