What kind of taper rate ya got going there bro? That outer limb seems a bit stiff at full draw.
That riser wood looks pretty cool.... :D

Kirk it is .oo4 with a tip wedge 4 in. past the groove. I am pretty happy with it. Although I may do one without the wedge just to see. Oliveshade on the riser--one of the better looking greens in my opinion.

No criticism intended at all. You know me pretty well bro... i'm always tinkering with stuff

i was just looking at the shape of the limb at brace, and again at full draw.....The working portion is closer to the fades than others I've seen you build. This typically means you have more of the outer limb moving forward and more weight to stop once you drop the string.

I've had a couple bows doing the same thing and I got significantly more hand shock than the ones i had bending more evenly through out the outer limb.... i wouldn't drop your tip wedge with an 004 taper. All you seem to do is loose your string angle by doing that. What i did was drop my stack height a bit, and manipulate my width profile to get her bending evenly....The outer limb was a bit wider when i got done. but she seemed more stable and had better manners.

food for thought.... Kirk

Considering it only has a 4 degree angle on the riser I think it is bending not too bad. It has very little buzz after the shot.

That's cool.... as long as you are happy with it, that's what counts...

Yeah, Mike, even though it probably feels fine, if you stiffen the inner limbs you should get better performance and more equally distributed stress. Jim

Would a powerlam do what you guys are talking about? or maybe trap the outer half of the limb.
