Interesting Quiver

Postby Stykshooter » Fri Jul 31, 2015 9:03 am

I just finished an interesting project. I had a guy approach me and ask me to make him a unique back quiver. He gave me a patch that he wanted to use and have me build the quiver around it. He and I talked an initially I was going to just come up with a suitable flat spot and barge cement the patch to the quiver. As he wanted the laces to show on the back of the quiver, I would have to do an overlay at the top or the bottom to have an area to work with. After playing with it for awhile I decided to cut the overlay out and inlay the patch inside it so that it looked like a photo matt in a picture frame. I think it came out looking pretty good. The quiver is made out of 8-9 oz. leather and there are four layers of 4 oz. leather around and beneath the patch. The photos don't really show it very well but the edges around the patch were beveled, finished and boned so that it really does look like a frame matt.

You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably angry.
