Skinning knife

Postby rodlonq » Wed Feb 22, 2017 12:15 am

I recently made a skinning knife for a friend. It has a 1084 carbon steel blade, ground, hardened and tempered in my workshop. The handle scales are water buffalo horn with mosaic pins I bought from a knife maker's supplier. The leather sheath is also hand stitched by me. The knife is 8 3/4" long overall and feels nice in the hand. My friend seems very happy with it and I can't wait to see him skinning some game with it.

Very nice! Blade shape reminds me of a Bark River
You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably angry.
