Board Bow

Postby Fiddleback » Sun Sep 30, 2007 4:22 pm

I'm making a couple of board bows now. I've got 3 staves cut. Two are jatoba (Brazilian cherry). One is hickory. I couldn't pass up the jatoba because it had perfect knot free straight grain and is cheap as snot here. Is it a good bow wood?

Cherry usually is. Try it out and see.
