Isn't it amazing what happens when you finally learn you were doing it incorrectly!!!

So what you're saying is that you've realized that a bent bow arm is really bad form for both target shooting and bowhunting? Would that be because it leads to early fatigue in the shot sequence, shaky sight picture, and mysterious unexplainable high and low misses due to the unrepeatable bent arm and inconsistent draw length?

I haven't thought about this for a long time. I just checked. I'm rotating my bicep towards the string, lightly locking my elbow, and shooting with a little bit more of an open stance. I never shoot without my armguard. It's a really long one that covers my upper arm too and keeps my shirt sleeve out of the way. It's the clothing that will give a fat guy problems. I'm tellin ya, if you're a big fat guy like me and you can't seem to get your shooting where you want it, get something to tuck your shirt sleeve up against your arm. Boobie protectors are useless and make you look stupid. The problem is the shirt sleeve, not our hairy man boobs. ;)

Not all Good Oly guys are twigs. The late Jackson Fear from AUS was a jr world champion and Olympian and was a large large man. Michele Frangili from Italy is one of the best FITA round shooter in the past 15 years. He is one of probably less than 12 men who have shot scores over 1350. I met him at the US nationals in 98. He is a big dude. His shot routine is unorthodox. He and his father have a book called Heritic Archer, I've always wanted to read it but it is really expensive. It might be worth it.
