Crazy ain't it? I had one a few years ago that did the same thing. Cold... worked fine; warm... nothing. I threw it away.

The Cricket is pretty good Steve. It has a smaller base. First thing I do/did is to throw the chain away and use the same material the compound guys use to make string loops. It makes it easier to adjust.

Do you use that when you are hunting Jim? If so, is the noise and issue?

I've been using them for many years while hunting, Kevin. Noise has never been an issue. You can muffle them with mole-skin so you feel it click rather than hear it.

Can you hunt in the moonlight? :D

No seriously, give the vendor a call and see if you
can get a replacement click-plate, it may be sprung a tad.

Yikes, just how hot is it where you shoot?
