Make that ILF hunting bow quieter—maybe.

Sipsey River told me to try liquid electrical tape for limb tip protection for my Uukha limbs. Well... I did, and it works perfectly.

I saw how this stuff worked and it got me to thinking. I wondered how it would do on those contact places; the limb butt under the limb bolt and the rocker.

So... I tried it. Don't get me wrong, my bows were hunting quiet--I thought. But this little bit of material on those contact areas made the bow a LOT quieter and may have taken out some vibration too. I could tell a noticeable difference.

I don't know yet about durability, but it doesn't matter because it will be so easy to just touch it up if needed.

Just thought I'd pass this little tidbit along. You may want to try it too.

nice Jim,
I have to set up on one the lads bows - he has just got himself a Morrison riser with some assorted limbs - and at present apparently it sounds like an Uzi - he is new to it so it is all mostly user error - but every bit helps !

Funny you mention that, Jim. You must be some kind of psychic. I was outside shooting last evening. The wife comes out, looks in that flower pot and says, "One of my flowers is broken. How in the world could that have happened?" I said, "Isn't that something. I'll bet a bird, one of the grandkids or something got in there."

I don't think she bought it, but it was worth the try.
