Awesome pics!
Sounds like a great area, too bad about the fires resulting in more hunting pressure.
Getting dumped on the elbow sucks!

Randy
Off topic.
In a couple your pictures I see what looks to be an aluminum dutch oven.
Is that yours? how did it work? as good as cast iron?

Yeah, that is an aluminum #12. Aluminum will never replace cast iron for a Dutch oven but it does have its place. It doesn't hold the heat as well or as long as cast iron. But for cooking stuff that has a real high acid content it works real well. Stuff like chili's or tomato sauce that will eat the seasoning off of the inside of cast iron or make it difficult to clean. The best use of an aluminum Dutch oven is for cooking cobblers. I don't care how you line your Dutch oven, there is still the possibility of having a real mess to clean after cooking cobblers with cast iron. With an aluminum Dutch oven, you literally just wipe it out. I wouldn't ever have an aluminum Dutch oven as my only one, but it is great when it's the fourth or fifth in your line up.
You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably angry.
