Alloy score !

Postby BEN MAHER » Thu Jan 28, 2016 1:30 pm

I have continued to play with 2016's and hunted with them over the years ...
I can cut them and fletch up with super glue, screw in a 125gn b'heads to match my Judo's and I'm out the door in 20 minutes and flinging arrows.
I like them fora myriad of reasons...mainly because since moving to inner city living , a cut off saw for carbons just ain't an option . Yet The last 6 months I have been using GT Blems and really enjoyed them ....
But I digress...

What I always wanted, but could never afford (cheapie but great GameGetter11 for me ) when they were available back in the day , were Easton Autumn Oranges ...
Found a chap on AT who had some , a few emails later and I have 3dz Autumn Orange 2016's on their way from Italy...

Too good not to use , I am going to set them up with some white feathers and take after hogs this year.

So all you guys shooting carbons aren't trad .... Or something :o

I picked up two dozen each of 2117's, 2114's, 2018's and 2020's a few years back. I have run a lot of the 2018's and 2117's through deer. A great shaft!

I have a few AO 2114's left, a few 2216's and 3doz. 2219's. The 2219's are going pretty soon. Can not shoot 70# anymore. I think I have a doz. or so 2020 arrows somewhere. I even have some 1816's for my wife. I bought dozens from F&S arrows when they closed them out. I have scattered them all over Ca. At shoots and hunting. Way things are going my kids will end up taking them to the recyclers.

Put many AO shafts thru deer....and just past deer

They were the 1st "real" hunting arrows I had as a kid....still my favorite. Only have a few odd ones left.

Hey Tom.....if those 2219 AO's need a home.... :D

I'm about out of AO shafts. I haven't seen them for sale in quite a while. Good score Ben!
