When you take your kid hunting and he says thank you and tells you how much he loves being in the woods with you, your day just isn't going to get any better than that.

Hello to all this season. Finally got to seal the deal on a nice butterball delight!! Been a slow yr this yr being my friends and I had our stands stolen, but did manage to get a out a few times. This deer was taken on a afternoon outing.Got into my groundblind about 3:45 pm and of coarse had a million and a half squirells running around.Afternoon was cool and leaves very dry and noisy! Had at 4:15 5 does walk by and slowly feed on acorns. As we all know,in a groundblind and 5 sets of eyes, it isnt easy to move. What seemed like forever they feed and of coarse keeping an eye all around. For some reason only 4 decided to move on and that is when I thought I would get my chance!! As If someone told her she picked up her head and looked right at me.Mind you im buryed in a blow down with just about enough room to shoot!!She stomps and starts to snort at me.I said damn im busted so I better make it happen. She steps quartering away, then turns to lookaway from me and that when I stand and draw. She quick turns to look at me but the arrow is on its way and hits its mark,my favorite, quartering away. She runs 30 yds and drops.Man what a bloodtrail,ground/trees,all over!!Sorry about pics, camera batterys were dead so I used my cellphone .My bow was a Bob Lee TD LB,GT 3555 tipped w/a Magnus 125 grn.

Got out there a little late after Bozeman Montana's first real snow storm of the year. Had four doe and a small buck come in. This one came a little two close so i sent my arrow between the shoulder blades into the vitals. Watched her drop 45 yards away. Montana Longbow, Beman Classics with a stinger broadhead.

This buck was chasing a doe above my stand, after awhile the doe went by me at 20 yards doing 100 mph. i just let her go, the buck started down the hill grunting all the way when he got about 20 feet from were I wanted to shoot I grunted to him as loud as I could. He put on the brakes and stopped right were I wanted him to between 20-25 yards broadside. The shot was perfect he only went about 60 yards and crashed. I was using my Trad Tech Titan 62" 46# @28. He's an 8 point with a couple small kickers he weighed in at 172# dressed.
