60" vs 64" Super Kodiak

Postby jwillis » Thu Jan 14, 2010 8:44 am

OK, here's a question for you SK geniuses. Where is the length difference between the 60" and 64" one-piece Super Kodiaks? Is it in the riser, limbs, or both? Thanks, Jim

The fades are more gradual in the 64"ers so I guess you could say that the riser is longer.

I'd be happy to take whatever measurements you'd like from my '71, 64" SK. 60" should be real common in comparison, but I'm not sure if they changed over the years.

Thanks to DCM for sending me a really nice tracing of the 64" Super Kodiak! When I get a chance, I'm going to draw this up on the computer and make a reproduction blueprint and bow. I'll probably do some upgrade mods to it like Brandon Stahl did to his Rose Oak Creations Super Wildcat. I've got to get through some other projects first, but this will be a bow for ME. I've been wanting to build one of these repros for a long time. Jim
