My '59 Kodiak for the Anniversary Hunt

Postby Jett » Sat Sep 19, 2009 11:13 am

I have this bow for awhile but I've never hunted with it; hope there's some mojo in it!

Nice !...hope you get it bloody ;)
When you take your kid hunting and he says thank you and tells you how much he loves being in the woods with you, your day just isn't going to get any better than that.

Thanks!!!

Well, if I don't it won't be the bow's fault; it shoots very, very nice! In fact, this is the only light recurve I've ever shot better w/o the weight of an added bowquiver (I'm hoping I can use one of my little 3 arrow quivers on it - I hate back/hip quivers!).

The bow is all original & probably about a 9.5 if I would clean it up. I wanted a 60" 50-55#er but I think the longer length is where much of the smoothness derived. Man, I forgot just how good this bow shoots! I think I like it better than any of my other Kodiaks!

Back to the top for a 59 comparison.

Nice bow Jett, that is the one I just bought. :D

My riser wood looks a little lighter though. Then again this monitor at work sucks so who knows???

you need circa bow quiver and arrows-or make arrows crested with bear's pattern at the time and razorheads.
