that feather rest dont look original.
there are 2 dates on your marker.Your life is the dash in between.

It looks old, but I agree it s not the right colors. The originals were yellow and red weren't they?

That's about the only thing "wrong" with that bow. 8-)

Anybody know what the wood in the sight window is? Bubinga?

Should be maple in the window. I've seen the feather rests in red, black & yellow; but for some reason I can't think of right now, I believe they were shipped with a red one. I dunno for sure.

Yeah I guess it is maple. Originally I thought it looked a little dark and grainy for maple. I reckon that the finish has darkened a little over the years.

I know they came in maple, purple heart and bubinga(?).

No bubinga - some were just solid rosewood.

Forget the price and that IS a thing of beauty, isn't it?

Now consider that some don't blink an eye at $1,500 a night for a woman, a football ticket, or even a meal... :)

there were 4-5 1959 kodiaks made for every 1960 kodiak.Give me a 60' kodiak any day with glass overlays instead of linen.
