Wow! That was pretty short. What could I expect for a fair price on one?

I almost bought a new 40# Martin Hunter from a guy closing out some bows locally. I don't know why, but I have always wanted a Hunter. Supposedly they are still a very good shooting bow, but rather expensive. I might give in one day and order one. Bill

The Hunter is a classic and still a tremendous shooter, but unfortunately I think Martin has priced them out of the market. They discontinued the use of exotic hardwoods in the entire trad lineup except for use as accent pieces, but then raised the prices. As much as I love the old Howatts, after about 2005 Martin really lost me.

If you can find a 1995-1996 "Purpleheart" Hunter, grab it!
