sorry guys I can't post pics!!!! but I got a super grizzly recurve, I never heard of a "super grizzly" it's a beauty!!! I'd have to say it's a stained maple kinda light walnut? with a blood wood accent in riser maybe purple heart? w/thin maple accent strips and a purple heart or what ever tips it has a gold raised medallion ser#kd8921 I would like to know the what fors about this bow thank for any help JEFF W

the super grizzly was made from 73-76.73 and 74 had blue/black/green futurewood risers.Very hard to tell aprt much more than that.

talk is of a new super grizzly coming out soon from bear archery.
there are 2 dates on your marker.Your life is the dash in between.

halfrack- ALL of those "exotic woods" are simply color impregnated maple, i.e. "futurewood".

Most of the Bear bows in those years (mid '70's) are about as bulletproof as they come.

Enjoy it.

I have one as you mentioned,it is a great looking and shooting bow,mine is a #55 'der. With a Eagles Flight quiver on and 4 arrows mine is still lightweight,and a joy to carry all day, I actually sold a Schafer Silvertip one piece recurve because since getting the Super Griz it didn't any attention anymore.

I do like this bow!! I've been teaseing BK with it, he has a soft spot for bear' bows, ;) JEFFW
