60" 50# Kodiak

Postby benzy » Thu Mar 04, 2010 12:15 pm

I don't have any pics...

Serial number BG963
60" 50# @ 28" Kodiak

It looks like the one it Jetts post.

red and white overlays

original grip, leather side plate and feather rest. The coin is there also.

The riser wood is a medium to dark brown with a heavy black grain. It has an I beam that looks like purpleheart. I'm guessing because the I beam is very dark right now.

Any idea on year or value? I'm buying it either way, ($150) but I'd like to know.

Thanks.

After a little more research it looks like the red and white overlays were 1959

Damn I wish my phone had a camera...

Any ideas?

Thanks again.

If it's a '59 Kodiak for $150.00 you are getting one hell of a deal!!! I would happily double your money if it's in decent shape - no kiddin'!

Also, there are pics on here of my '59 K & Jim Casto's.

I'm 99% positive it's a 59 now.

I just went back and bought it. I don't really have the money, but. It's easier to ask forgiveness from the Mrs. than it is permission. Normally I ask permission, not this time.

Jett you'll have to make that offer to my daughters after I'm dead. ;) As long as I'm alive, other than a crisis in life, this thing isn't going anywhere. Except maybe to bowdoc or droptine for a re-finish.

I'll get some pics tonight.

Man I'm still shaking. :D

Tell the Mrs. you scored bigtime - that would bow fetch anywhere from $450.00 to a $1,000.00, or more!

Congrats!!!

sounds like it has a purpleheart sight window too! 60" 59' at a hunting weight should fetch at least $500.

Yep, looks to be all original with the purple heart sight window, and more dirty than rough, Clean it some yourself & see if you really need to refinish or not!
