Thanks for the shooting fellas

Thanks for the shooting fellas

Well, I turned in what I think is the last score this morning and did a little looking back.

Drove to town to do the shooting for this thing 90 miles per week x 8 weeks = 720 miles
720 miles at 35 mpg = 20.5 gal at $3.00 = $61.50
5 busted arrows at $5.50 ea. = $27.50
720 miles at 65 mph (factoring in two blizzards) = 11 hours driving time
1 hour per week x 8 weeks = 8 hours shooting time

Total dollars=$89.00
Total time = 19 hours
No frozen hands like Bob.
The experience - priceless

Thanks for the shooting guys. I enjoyed it.

Man, I hate when someone uses logic in archery! 8-)

My Dad used to do the same thing with striped bass. This was back in the days when they were few and far between. He'd figure the cost of the boat, gas, insurance, truck to pull the boat, rods, reels, bait, well....you get the idea. He'd throw out some ridiculous price per pound and I'd start to tell him how stupid it sounded...then I'd start adding the figures and realized he was probably right. :o

Better to keep the old calculator tucked away.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed the shooting...I think? :?

glad you had fun man!
Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Shot my last round today, has been fun. Definatly saw some improvement over the last couple of months and will put it to good use this 3D season.
Look forward to the next one.

Yep, that was fun. I missed the last week....or two?, but I will keep shooting all through summer and I still want to "avg" about 255 or so bare and I want to hit 290 with the Fly sighted up...

Thanks Gino!
