shelf or arrowrest ?

Postby dustynose » Thu Mar 05, 2009 2:27 am

I am wondering wether a shelf or an arrowrest is needed to support the arrow while shooting the bow with the machine. I usually build my bows without but probably this could cause some problems for the testing...

Dusty,
No problem bud. If your making a bow that is to be shot off the knuckle or top side of a handle wrap. I can build a makshift knuckle or enough of a ridge to easily accomidate your bow. Id probably make it from some leather I have laying around. either way we'll get er done for ya. :)
People used to say that I'd never amount to much but I can always say Ive served as a bad example!

I use a bit of thick rubber -- about a quarter thick -- that I just temporarily attach using some electrical tape.
Works fine as a rest for testing on a machine.

Sounds fine. So I will finish my bow as usual without any device to support the arrow. Probably I will get a second in one tube so that I can enter two for the postage of one. I will have to be a bit earlier than the others I guess, because shipping will take some time.
