new bandsaw? i thought you had a nice one? man, take that dough and get yourself an edge sander.... you won't know how you lived without it..... kind of like the drum sander. actaully, everytime i get a new toy (tool) i don't know how i lived without it LOL! the edge sander is a workhorse in the shop though.
Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Edge sander huh? I'm sure that I would love to have one. It would probably make all those arcs and curves a lot easier to do than the way I do them on the edge of the belt sander. Lost most of my knuckle this summer doing that. Shipping up here to Alaska would probably kill me though. Hey, I have a great idea! Why don't you throw one in the back of the truck and drop it by! ;) I'll have Allyson make you up some cookies again. :D

Teams? I was always one of the last kids picked for dodge ball in P.E.

You guys want to all do the same form? Keep it simple and do a straight, flat form. That'll show who's best at manipulating materials, tapers, wedges, etc. ;)

I am cool with the straight limbs... what would be nice about that is that we wouldn't have to send a form around...cause everyone could simply make it straight... straight is Straight!

Do we need to decide if its 3 piece or 1 or whatever?

lets make a one piece straight bow. length can be anything, one person lays it up, others can help with materials, or knowledge. id love to pass the bow around but the only thing is that could get expensive real quick. 20-30 bucks everytime you send it and 3-4 people on a team = big money.

i think everyone needs to work on it...everyone ships the bow once, the last guy that does the finish ships it to Ken... i vote for a one piece straight back glass bow. 6.5" minimum brace....

how do we go about drawing up teams? we need a sign up sheet and a deadline, so we can get the ball rolling, that would be a good start...don't you think?
