WTT...fastest glass lam bow, no carbon

Postby Rigs » Thu Oct 16, 2008 7:50 pm

Hi Guys,

Just intersted; What was the fastest glass backed bow in the WTT? I'm talking, no carbon, just wood and glass?

Thanks in advance.
Happy hunting,

Rigs,

for a recurve that would be Steve Quinton with a glass backed and belly recurve. and a very fine shooting bow at that Its five shot average was 186.2

for a glass longbow, that would be myself and Mike Bird tied at 185 fps.
People used to say that I'd never amount to much but I can always say Ive served as a bad example!

Thanks Ken,

What were the strings like on those? How many strands, and silencers or not? I'm wondering if I'm ready to run with the "Big Dogs" yet... It would give me a great reason to get back to WI... I have'nt had a cold Pointer in a long time.

Thanks in advance.
Happy hunting,
Jason

Dont worry rigs you're ready, Just do it. Just ask the guys last year that came and what they took away from the event. they are coming back this year.

If I remember correctly Mikes and Steves both had 10 strand strings & no silencers on the recurve and I cannot remember if Mikes did or not. mine I know was a 14 strander on my hunting bow and had beaver ball silencers.
