i can't believe i missed this post yesterday. yup Jared, the string got here the same day i shipped the bow, and i ran it right back to the post office. i'm suprised it didn't beat the bow there.

cute kiddo there. :D I'll look forward to some in action photos. btw... let me know how that shelf pad holds up. i just got my hands on some of that material, and thought i'd try it out on this bow. :D

oooops! or maybe it was crooked sticks bow.... you'll have to tell me bro... i got too many going at once to keep track at the moment.

I got the string in the mail last night, I think it said 59 1/2". I strung the bow and it has an 8 3/4" brace. Ken will have to let me know what the brace should be?? It looks about right on the bow...let me know if it should be a bit lower and i'll make another string a bit longer. I did take a dozen shots in the basement last night....WOW....did I mention this thing is fast!!!
I'm going to set it up tonight...I have a club shoot on Sunday and i want to show it off :D
Just let me know about the brace, I want to get it fine tuned (hunting setup) and run a couple arrows through the crono!
Also, if nothing big comes up at home, i'll be at WTT with the bow.....but it will be going home with me! 8-)

I forgot to thank Chad for the string, I havn't seen a string look that good in a long time. The way you taper that string down from the loops to the body has got to be the best i've ever seen! :D Thanks again to everyone.....Jared

you better check that string for length Jared. Chad left a note in there about it being a "test string" and if it wasn't the right length he'd whip you up another.

now please tell me... did i put a shelf pad on that one? i just did 3 of them last week, and cant remember. `

i think i was hesitant to cover up that purdy wood bro. ;)

This new stuff i found is some rather thin, very dense furniture pad kind of stuff that came in sheets and has a self adheasive on it. i didn't care much for some of those thicker furniture pads the have out there. this stuff is real stiff and dense compared to standard funiture pads.. i put it on a cuple of my personal bows to test out, and i believe i put it on Mikes ebony bow. :D i'll let you know how it holds up and looks after it gets some weather.

Well, I decided not to try to modify the bow case that was too short. Made a new one. The zipper is probably not as smooth as it might be, I'm just not a master at sewing in long zippers. Hope to never do it again. Another reason I'm a pure straight longbow shooter. :)

It's on it's way to Jared, should be there Friday.
