TJ. lots of good info. What would shortening the riser 2" do to this bows wieght if everything else was left the same? Thanks.

it would beef up the draw approx 5lbs maybe a little less.

Thats interesting. I have had that backwards. I thought that lengthening the riser would increase draw weight but decreasing the riser length given the same length limbs would decrease draw weight. Or am I right?

having the same length limbs on a longer riser would decrease draw weight. same length limbs on a shorter riser increases draw weight.

now if you have a 64" bow with an 18" riser that weighs in at 50# and you changed the riser to 16" but still had a 64" bow, then yes your draw weight will be lighter. but that bow will not have the same length limbs so my first statement would be true.

clear as mud eh?

Cool..cool..cool...I guess after thinking about it I had it confused with some other data lol...I remember now though. Two bows of same length and design...one 18 and one 16 inch riser the longer riser will raise weight due to shortening of limb length...right? My bad...

TJ,
That is one beautiful bow! Great job. How about taking a few pictures of you shooting it?
