Sonoran Desert Mule Deer

Postby Jim Casto Jr » Thu Dec 22, 2016 9:25 pm

Some of you may remember my oldest is quite smitten with bowhunting. He just returned from the Sonoran Desert of Mexico. He and four of his buddies were hunting (management) desert mule deer with Arrow Five Outfitters. They went 4 for 5, and the other guy missed one and passed on another. The only North American deer species he hasn't taken is Sitka Blacktail. He's got that one in the works.

Thought you might like to see the pictures.

some real nice deer. That one shot by Mike Stover almost looks like a white tail rack.
You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably angry.

Yes it does and the darn thing scores like 160". :) On this particular hunt they have to shoot 4 x 3's, 3 x 3's, crab claws, etc.
Makes for a more affordable hunt with the chance for a real trophy too.

NIce ! Congrats to all
When you take your kid hunting and he says thank you and tells you how much he loves being in the woods with you, your day just isn't going to get any better than that.
