When you take your kid hunting and he says thank you and tells you how much he loves being in the woods with you, your day just isn't going to get any better than that.

Made me a dozen new elk arrows.....
You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably angry.

I cut up several of my deer roasts and let them marinade in the fidge for four days. Loaded up the dehydrator with nine trays of jerky to let it run today. A good portions of my lunches out there will be fresh cut throats from the stream, jerky, spam along with either rice or Idaho mashed potatoes.

Your hunting adventure is almost here.. Sounds like you are going to have a good time. I have lived my whole life in Florida, no way could I go up to the elevations your going to. Good luck and have a fun safe trip!
